Substance Abuse/Mental Health Counselor

In this role, you will provide direct support to individuals navigating substance use challenges. You will work collaboratively with clients to create individualized treatment plans, facilitate therapeutic group sessions, and offer consistent, empathetic guidance throughout the recovery process. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough assessments to understand client needs and establish effective, personalized treatment plans.
- Facilitate individual and group counseling sessions, incorporating motivational interviewing and trauma-informed practices.
- Deliver case management services and connect clients with appropriate community resources and recovery supports.
- Maintain timely, accurate documentation in accordance with confidentiality standards and compliance regulations.
- Collaborate closely with medical and behavioral health professionals to ensure integrated care.
- Educate clients and their families about substance use, recovery strategies, and relapse prevention.
- Regularly monitor client progress and revise treatment plans to align with evolving needs and goals.
What We’re Looking For
- Background in social work, addiction counseling, or a related behavioral health field.
- Strong understanding of motivational interviewing and client engagement techniques.
- Experience in case management and navigating support services.
- Comfort with medical terminology and clinical documentation systems.
- Knowledge of substance use treatment modalities, including group dynamics and trauma-informed care.
