Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Orthodontic Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care while assisting orthodontists in delivering high-quality treatment. This position requires a blend of clinical expertise, attention to detail, and excellent interpersonal skills to ensure a positive experience for our patients.

Duties

  • Assist orthodontists during procedures, including the placement and adjustment of braces and other orthodontic appliances.
  • Prepare and maintain treatment rooms, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are sterilized and ready for use.
  • Utilize 3D scanners to capture accurate impressions of patients' teeth for treatment planning.
  • Manage patient records, ensuring all medical history and treatment information is accurately documented in the system.
  • Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and provide instructions for care during orthodontic treatment.
  • Monitor vital signs as needed and ensure adherence to infection control protocols throughout the practice.
  • Collaborate with team members to maintain a smooth workflow and enhance patient satisfaction.
  • Assist with administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and managing medical coding when necessary.

Qualifications

  • Experience in Orthodontics is preferred.
  • Familiarity with dental software such as Ortho2 is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of infection control procedures and ability to perform basic medical coding is desirable.
  • Proficiency in using 3D scanners for dental imaging is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to build rapport with patients of all ages.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of care.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple tasks.
