As a CNA, you can help fulfill the role of caregiving to our wonderful residents, residing in our beautiful community.
The ideal candidate should possess the following:
- Effectively communicate on a personal level with residents, family members, personnel, visitors, etc.
- Able to make decisions independently when warranted
- Reliable, kind, hard-working
- Understanding of local, state, and federal laws and regulations pertaining to assisted living
- Attends staff meetings
- Participates in weekend rotation for scheduling needs after hours and shows up ready to work
What your day consists of:
- Provide and assist with physical care of residents which will include but not limited to bathing, oral hygiene, grooming, incontinent care, toileting, colostomy care, transferring, ambulation.
- Medication administration.
- Responsible for real-time documentation of patient care and observation.
- Communicate timely with any observed or perceived changes in resident condition or behaviors.
- Assist in the dining process by preparing resident for meals; serves and collects trays, assists in setting up and feeding residents, serves refreshments.
- Assists in recreational, motivational and socialization activities of care program.
- Responsible for timely response to call lights and providing appropriate response or service
- Responsible for regular rounding with residents to anticipate and identify needs and respond timely and appropriately
- Fully understand all aspects of patient’s rights, including the right to be free of restraints and free of abuse. Responsible for promptly reporting incidents of evidence of patient abuse or violation of residents rights
- Maintain the comfort, privacy, and dignity of each patient in the delivery of services to them.
- Encourages growth and independence as care progression warrants.
- Assists in maintaining the cleanliness and safety of resident room.
- Assists in maintaining a safe resident environment.
- Adhere to infection control procedures including but not limited to hand washing and isolation practices.
- Ensure uniform and personal appearance is clean and professional.
- Thoroughly completes assignments.
- Performs assigned treatment according to resident plan of cares.
- Demonstrates accurate ADL documentation.
- Demonstrates a proactive approach to complete assigned floor duties.
