Director of Nursing (DON) Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day operations of the nursing department, ensuring the delivery of top-notch care for residents while maintaining efficiency and quality.
- Stay on top of both state and federal regulations, ensuring the facility adheres to all necessary guidelines.
- Work alongside other department heads and facility leadership to achieve common goals, ensuring smooth operations throughout.
- Lead by example, offering guidance, training, and support to the nursing staff to foster a positive, productive team environment.
- Play a key role in shaping the residents’ experience, ensuring their needs are met with compassion and attention to detail.
Qualifications Director of Nursing (DON):
- RN license in Ohio.
- Experience in nursing leadership, ideally in long-term care or skilled nursing.
- A passion for leading a team and providing top-quality care to residents.
- A strong understanding of nursing home regulations and experience handling surveys and inspections.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills—you’ll need to be organized, approachable, and a great problem-solver.
