Job Summary
The Overnight Support Specialist provides overnight support for a unique, charismatic, intelligent and active adult woman with autism, assisting with personal care, daily routines, and ensuring safety and comfort throughout the night. The role requires engagement, patience, reliability, and understanding of autism-related needs.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Supervise and support the individual overnight to ensure safety and well-being.
- Assist with personal hygiene routines, including bathing, grooming, toileting oversight, and dressing as needed (no mobility issues).
- Help with bedtime routines and morning wake-up, following well established schedules.
- Administer medications as directed.
- Respond promptly to any needs during the night.
- Support with maintaining a clean and organized living environment (light housekeeping, dishes, laundry, etc.).
- Document observations, changes, or incidents during the shift.
- Offer companionship and reassurance, using clear, direct and positive communication.
Qualifications

- Experience working with adults with autism or developmental disabilities preferred.
- Ability to learn and follow highly individualized and prescribed plans, approaches, and routines.
- Ability to have empathy and patience while possessing the skills to communicate clearly and directly.
- Physical ability to walk distances as part of morning and evening routines, to assist with personal care and daily tasks.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a tight-knit, responsive team.
- Strong observational, situational awareness, and communication skills.
- Emotionally resilient and able to maintain professional boundaries at all times.
- Reliable and punctual
- Ability to maintain a positive, helpful attitude at all times.
- Ability to project a friendly and approachable personality while setting and maintaining boundaries.
- Ability to speak/understand English language and read/comprehend complex instructions.
- Clean background check required
- 6 month commitment required, 1 year commitment preferred
Knowledge: Education -High School Diploma or equivalent

Certifications and Licenses:
- Valid driver’s license, vehicle registration, vehicle inspection and vehicle insurance all in good standing required.
Schedule:
- Overnight shifts
- Hours: 6:30 pm – 11:00 am
- Days: 2 and 3 overnight shifts available, every week, year round- flexibility may be needed.
Compensation and Benefits:
- $325.00/ overnight shift
- 3 nights: 50,700/annually
- 2 nights: 33,800/annually
- Benefits available for both 2/3 nights; health, dental, IRA & AAA
