Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated PCA to join our healthcare team. In this role, you will provide essential support to patients in various settings, including inpatient care and geriatrics. Your primary responsibility will be to assist patients with daily activities, monitor vital signs, and ensure their comfort and well-being. The ideal candidate will possess strong caregiving skills, a solid understanding of anatomy and physiology, and the ability to work effectively with diverse patient populations, including pediatrics.
Responsibilities
- daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming patients
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients.
- Help with mobility by assisting patients in moving from beds to wheelchairs or other locations.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients by following infection control protocols.
- Document patient care activities accurately in electronic health records (Epic).
- Collaborate with nursing staff to implement care plans tailored to individual patient needs.
- Support patients during meals and ensure they receive proper nutrition.
Skills
- Strong caregiving abilities with a focus on patient-centered care..
- Familiarity with electronic health record systems such as Epic is preferred.
- Experience working with geriatric populations is highly desirable.
- Proficient in monitoring vital signs and understanding their significance in patient care
- Solid knowledge of anatomy and physiology relevant to patient care.
