Location : This is a fully remote position and does not require the candidate to work in Columbus, Ohio, but you may be required to travel occasionally for meetings (client / team / professional development).

In addition to independent account leadership, opportunities to oversee strategy on a project and campaign level may be awarded. The Senior Account Executive will play an integral part in the growth of the Belle Communication brand and its client brands as a reliable and nimble member of the PR and account team. This role is best suited for a highly detailed self-starter with previous agency experience who thrives in a non-corporate, fast-paced, virtual office environment.

As Senior Account Executive, you will be responsible for account leadership on a project and campaign level. This involves contributing to client strategies, managing projects and campaigns, ensuring PR and social media deliverables are met and contributing ideas to grow and maximize ROI for our client partners. The ability to stay ahead of industry trends within public relations and know current events and developments within client industries will be essential to support the overall success of the team.

In this role, you will ensure the accounts you lead stay on track by achieving coverage goals and contributing strategic recommendations to build client thought leadership across traditional and digital marketing channels. You will also have the opportunity to identify and pitch expanded scopes of work for your accounts and contribute to new business proposal ideation and in-person presentations.

To move forward at Belle to the Account Manager and Account Director roles, it's essential that team members have the ability to effectively plan, manage and implement strategic programs. Team members in the Account Manager and Account Director roles will be expected to "own" their area(s) of expertise by strategically planning and managing client programs, mentoring and managing the work of junior staff and effectively managing all client needs and expectations including budgets and goals.

Key Responsibilities :

Client Service

  • Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of client brand identity and goals in order to think big for our clients
  • Cultivate client relationships through frequent, proactive, open and transparent communication to build trust and support client satisfaction
  • Work with department heads to develop and execute project timelines and budgets
  • Ensure campaign hours are optimized within client scope of work
  • Bring new ideas to our client partners and team with the goal of staying ahead of industry trends and becoming a go-to resource for both clients and our team
  • Ensure monthly meetings are scheduled and executed each month for client accounts you managekeeping in mind that each meeting should report results, communicate strategy and be well worth the client's time

Media Relations

  • Develop an extensive network of top-tier contacts (media, community VIPs, etc.), nurturing relationships with key media influencers in multiple industries
  • Consistently achieve top-tier national, regional and trade media opportunities for multiple clients to ensure client hit goals are achieved monthly and throughout the overall campaign
  • Successfully plan, escort and lead client activities such as press trips, media tours, grand openings, product launches and special events
  • Ensure media materials are consistent with client brand guidelines and strategic positioning
  • Business Development

  • Identify additional account growth opportunities for existing clients (social media strategy, crisis PR plan, etc.)
  • Contribute elements to renewal and expansion proposals for clients with guidance from supervisor or sales lead
  • Support new business development efforts as needed through idea contribution, proposal build outs and contributing to in-person presentations as needed
  • Contribute as needed to the content and growth of the Belle Communication blog and social media channels
  • Strategy Leadership

  • Contribute ideas and strategy to support client social media initiatives
  • Develop and execute creative PR campaigns integrating PR, content and social media to help clients maximize visibility and build thought leadership
  • Manage and mentor junior level and intern team members in the areas of public relations and social media to help them grow within the agency as public relations professionals
  • Assist in interviewing, training and mentoring new junior level and intern team members as needed

  • KPI's

  • Independently lead key client projects
  • Effectively works across 5-6 client accounts, serving as a lead, strategist and support team member on various accounts by applying the following KPI's.
  • Responds to internal and external messages and emails within 4 hours (based on office hours)
  • Meets or exceeds all assigned deadlines
  • Provides timely and proactive communication on the status of tasks
  • Communicates about the status of work ahead of task due dates

  • Provides daily communication on the status of projects / tasks
  • Creates and oversees the execution of various strategy projects across accounts
  • Secures client media or influencer hits monthly / weekly through pitching research, pitch writing or outreach and coordination
  • Completes client work within allocated hours (hours vary based on client and project)
  • Contributes to client satisfaction scores of 90% or above
  • Contributes to achieving 80% rate of weekly client hits or meaningful touchpoints
  • Takes initiative by regularly asking questions, offering support and accepts ownership of work
  • Communicates professionally with clients and team
  • Regularly brings ideas for how to innovate and improve areas of their work
  • Identifies account growth opportunities and creates and executes statements of work based on those opportunities
  • Required :

  • Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Marketing, Communication or related field
  • Experience in the food, restaurant, hospitality and / or travel industries
  • 4-6 years of agency experience and experience leading client accounts
  • Proven ability to consistently secure top-tier results within national, trade, regional and influencer media
  • Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Organized and adaptable, with the ability to manage and prioritize multiple time-sensitive projects
  • Strategic thinker who consistently brings new ideas and creative solutions
  • Preferred :

  • Experience in executing trade shows, media tours and on-site events
  • Knowledge of social media advertising
