Wine Tasting Room Associate - Belle Joli Winery (Sturgis Location)

Belle Joli Winery is seeking enthusiastic, friendly, and dedicated individuals to join our team at our Sturgis location. We're looking for Wine Tasting Room Associates who are reliable, great communicators, and thrive in a fun, team-oriented environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Share Belle Joli wines, history, and knowledge with guests
- Provide exceptional customer service and showcase strong sales skills
- Lead tours of our winery and explain our winemaking process to visitors (willingness to learn required)
- Create a welcoming and enjoyable atmosphere for locals and tourists alike
- Work collaboratively in a team environment to ensure smooth operations
- Upsell wines and promote the brand with enthusiasm
Requirements:
- Must be 21 years or older
- Strong customer service skills with an emphasis on sales and upselling techniques
- Ability to handle cash and manage transactions accurately
- Experience with POS systems, and ability to stay organized and clean
- Knowledge of basic wine principles (training will be provided)
- Willingness to learn and lead winery tours, explaining our wines and history to customers
- Previous experience in food service, catering, or fine dining is preferred
- Independent sales associate experience is a plus
- Must be available for a minimum of two weekends per month and a couple of weekdays each week
