Summary
Belle Lynn Sourcing LLC is currently seeking an experienced Subject Matter Expert for a long-term contract position with our Government client.
This role serves as a subject matter expert on designated terrorist organizations, providing analytical and operational support to the Red Team in wargaming and counter-terrorism exercises. The incumbent will conduct in-depth research, develop strategic analyses and reports, and advise on counter-terrorism planning. The role also includes acting as a liaison with NATO entities and maintaining a repository of knowledge to enhance the effectiveness of Red Team operations.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a subject matter expert on designated terrorist organizations and provide consultative support on terrorism and counter-terrorism operations
- Coordinate external expertise on terrorism to support designated projects in alignment with NATO’s Tier approach
- Assist in developing, coordinating, and advising on the implementation of WDA Lines of Delivery focused on strategic and operational challenges
- Conduct in-depth research and analysis on emerging threats, adversarial strategies, and technological advancements to inform Red Team activities
- Draft, review, and finalize Red Team reports, strategic analyses, and wargame evaluations to meet NATO standards
- Apply analytical skills to recommend actions for various ACT projects and wargames related to designated terror groups
- Provide advice and validate counter-terrorism planning inputs to ensure strategic soundness
- Offer reach-back support to NATO HQ and ACT Directorates for planning, contingencies, and exercise events
- Act as a liaison between the Red Team and other NATO entities, ensuring coordination and sharing of intelligence
- Develop and maintain a repository of Red Team knowledge, including best practices and lessons learned
- Support the development of Red Team personnel by identifying emerging trends and critical thinking strategies
Requirements
- Active Secret Clearance (NATO or Equivalent)
- Nationality of one of the NATO member countries
- A Master’s Degree in a relevant discipline
- Demonstrated experience working with international teams
- Proven project management experience, including complex stakeholder management (PMP or equivalent required)
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Research experience in an accredited academic institution or similar organization related to international relations or security studies
- Experience living or working in the region of focus, if applicable
- Experience in corporate, government, or academic environments analyzing international relations or security issues
- Published work demonstrating knowledge of regional political, geopolitical, human, and economic issues
- Demonstrated fluency in English
- Understanding of NATO and its unique structure and work environment
- Experience as a field grade officer with a background in counter-intelligence or counter-terrorism operations
- Experience working in a Strategic Headquarters on complex terrorism-related issues
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other collaborative software as applicable
