Job Summary:
The Youth Empowerment Program Coordinator is responsible for the comprehensive implementation and ongoing operation of our youth-focused program, designed to empower and support at-risk and homeless youth. This role involves providing dynamic leadership, strategic coordination, and both clinical and administrative oversight to the program staff. The Coordinator will champion the Positive Youth Development approach, ensuring all program activities and staff interactions foster resilience, growth, and self-sufficiency.
Key responsibilities include meticulous monitoring of our host home program, including efficient utilization of bed days, and actively promoting program development within the Cuyahoga County community. This position demands flexibility, requiring availability for varying shifts, including evenings and weekends, and services delivered across diverse community settings.
A crucial aspect of this role is proactive community outreach, including street outreach, to connect with and support youth in need. The Coordinator will also provide consistent support and guidance to host home families, being readily available by phone and in person. The Youth Empowerment Program Coordinator will inspire and guide staff to consistently implement the Positive Youth Development framework, empowering youth to realize their full potential.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide direct supervision and leadership to Basic Center staff, ensuring effective program delivery and adherence to program guidelines.
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Basic Center Program, including case management, crisis intervention, and support services.
- Monitor and manage the host home program, including recruitment, training, and ongoing support of host home families.
- Conduct regular assessments of program effectiveness and implement strategies for continuous improvement.
- Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with community partners, agencies, and stakeholders.
- Ensure accurate and timely documentation of client services and program activities.
- Provide on-call support and crisis intervention as needed.
- Conduct community outreach and engagement activities to identify and connect with at-risk youth.
- Facilitate staff training and development on the Positive Youth Development approach and best practices.
- Manage program budgets and resources effectively.
- Maintain compliance with all relevant regulations and funding requirements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, counseling, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Minimum of three years of experience working with at-risk or homeless youth.
- Demonstrated leadership and supervisory experience.
- Strong understanding of the Positive Youth Development approach.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
- Knowledge of community resources and services in Cuyahoga County.
