The BMW Championship Grounds Administrator at Bellerive Country Club (“Bellerive”) for the upcoming 2026 BMW Championship plays a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operations of one of golf’s premier events. This position offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in administrative and marketing support while working closely with the Golf Course Superintendent, agronomic managers, and their teams.
The BMW Championship Grounds Administrator position offers a flexible schedule of 5-10 hours per week until 2026, making it ideal for a Business or Marketing intern, a golf enthusiast, or a retiree looking to stay engaged and enjoy golf. As the 2026 championship approaches, the role will expand to 10-20 hours per week, increase to 20-30 hours during the weeks leading up to the event, and reach up to 60 hours during the championship week.

Job Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute marketing campaigns, including the creation and management of a comprehensive sponsorship program, budget planning, and coordination of vendor support.
- Monitors and categorizes operational expenses, ensuring accurate allocation to relevant projects and operational needs.
- Manages a comprehensive recruitment platform for 2026 BMW Championship agronomy volunteers, including a communication timeline, registration process, travel coordination, and other support for volunteer needs.
- Supports the arrangement of temporary housing and transportation for volunteers and Team Members in preparation for and during the 2026 Championship.
- Attends designated meetings with the Golf Course Superintendent, records detailed minutes, and prepares transcriptions for distribution as needed.
- Prepares meeting notices, agendas, and supporting materials; maintains records and ensures accurate filing of meeting minutes.
- Provides general administrative support to the Golf Course Superintendent.
- Greets and screens visitors; prepares and distributes mailings; manages office supply inventory, purchases, and monitors maintenance contracts for office equipment.
- Ensures the office and volunteer areas are well-maintained and organized, and coordinates with vendors, volunteers, and sponsor support contacts to address needs during the Championship.
- Completes other duties as assigned by the Golf Course Superintendent or other members of Bellerive’s leadership team.
Requirements
- Must have the ability to work in an outdoor environment the week of the BMW Championship in August 2026.
- Must be proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.), and be familiar with essential office equipment (telephones, copier, fax, etc.).
- Must be proficient in online design tools to create professional-looking graphics and designs suitable for print or web, while maintaining compliance with Bellerive and BMW standards.
- Must have the ability to balance multiple projects and have strong project and time management skills. Must possess high attention to detail.
- Must display an aptitude for working in a fast-paced environment with a demonstrated ability to work autonomously, take direction, and exercise good judgment. Must have the ability to reason and apply common-sense understanding to situations encountered.
- Must have a high level of professionalism and interpersonal skills in order to communicate and work well with employees at all levels within the organization and maintain all information in the strictest of confidence. Must use tact and diplomacy when dealing with others.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate fluent English; compose documents in the appropriate style using correct grammar and spelling; communicate clearly using proper grammar and diction over the telephone.
- Ability to simultaneously process routine daily functions, resolve sensitive issues, and complete complex assignments utilizing above-average critical thinking skills.
- Ability to work overtime as necessary.
- The physical demands of this position are representative of those that might be met by an employee for them to successfully perform the essential functions of the position. These include being both mobile and stationary throughout the workday and having the ability to transport forty (40) pounds.
Qualifications / Education:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required. Pursuing or holding an Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Hospitality Management, Marketing, or Communications is preferred.
- Previous experience in event planning or coordination preferred.
- Previous experience working in a private club atmosphere preferred.
