Belleville Boot Company, headquartered in Metro East area, is a privately held footwear manufacturer specializing in the development of innovative, high-performance military footwear for the United States Department of Defense and other governmental and commercial entities.
Position Summary:
Belleville Boot Company has an opportunity for a 2nd Shift Production Supervisor to enhance our production team by leading the safe manufacturing of our product. Responsibilities include supervising and leading the 2nd shift production workforce, training, planning, organizing and directing work; developing others, performance management, reward and recognition, addressing employee concerns and resolving issues/problems.
Position Responsibilities:
- Lead the 2nd shift production team in the achievement of safety, quality, and productivity objectives.
- Consistently demonstrate safe work principles, practices and ensure a safe, clean work environment. Reinforce compliance with safety policies and procedures.
- Analyze and resolve work problems and develop team members in solving work problems.
- Manage time and attendance, weekly payroll approvals and related performance records.
- Collaborate with other Supervisors and support functions to achieve objectives and improvements.
- Maintain high levels of quality standards and ensure conformance to quality specifications.
- Candidate must be flexible to work beyond normal shift with short notice.
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned or required.
Position Requirements:
- Knowledge and understanding of polyurethane injection molding a plus.
- Effective people skills (coaching/counselling, motivation, performance, employee relations, etc.) in a manufacturing environment.
- Formal leadership training.
- Excellent planning, organizing and leading skills.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage responsibilities independently in a demanding environment, while maintaining a positive TEAM attitude.
- Competent in Microsoft Office software (i.e Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Hazmat Certification a plus
Physical Requirements:
- May be required to assist in the production process
