What are the responsibilities and job description for the Barback position at Bellevue Capital Partners?
Newport Craft (Newport Craft Brewing and Distilling, Radiant Pig Beer, Braven Brewing) is a rapidly growing craft brand collective located in beautiful Newport, RI. Our new and improved taproom(s) will be a key part of our success and it is often the first experience consumers have with our brand(s). Taproom Barback is a team-oriented position which represents Newport Craft and its affiliated brands with dedication and a passion for craft beer and spirits. Taproom Barbacks are responsible for creating an efficient environment for Newport Craft bartenders by providing industry leading service and support. The position will work directly with the Taproom Manager.
Responsibilities:
Washing tasting room glasses and operating dishwasher
Stock and maintain supplies and equipment
Transporting and storing clean glassware
Preparing and placing clean glassware for events and functions
All other day to day activities necessary to keep the bar area running
Qualifications:
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to interact with coworkers in a professional manner.
Excellent organization and coordination skills. Able to manage priorities and routine functions effectively and efficiently.
Decision making skills - collect, assess, and interpret relevant information and make sound judgment.
Ability to stand for extended periods of time, walk, use hands to finger, grasp, handle or feel, push, pull, reach, crouch, kneel, crawl or bend, and perform repetitive motions of the hands and/or wrists. Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 55 pounds and be able to move kegs which weigh close to 165 pounds.
Must have ability and willingness to maintain flexible work schedules, as weekend and extended workdays are necessary.
