Job Summary:
The Student Academic Services (SAS) Office Manager manages SAS correspondence, records of elementary, junior and senior high SAS students including, application for services, testing records, grades (for junior and senior high only), parent communication, purchase orders, therapist communication, managing substitute requests, and assist the Director of Student Learning with other duties, as assigned.
The Student Academic Services Office Manager, working in the SAS office should model to students, colleagues and the Bellevue Christian School community an attitude of Christ-like servanthood, cooperation, accuracy and accountability. He/she must be prepared to answer questions with a spirit of patience and honesty. Conflicts that arise are to be resolved through the Matthew 18 principle.
General Duties & Responsibilities:
- Create and maintain confidential files, located in the SAS office, for all BCS K-12 students currently in SAS, which will include a 504 plan/testing, or a Focus Form received by the director related to the student’s academic challenges.
- Collect, distribute and process 504 plans for all campuses.
- Coordinate director’s calendar; scheduling prospective parent meetings, responding to therapists, parents, principals, admissions and teachers’ meeting requests.
- Assist in Jr High and High School scheduling, therapist’s schedules, and standardized testing scheduling. Work with enrollment and re-enrollment of SAS students to maintain and up-to-date list of therapy students, campus/grade assignments, therapist assignments and number of contracted therapy sessions being sure to communicate and reconcile with Student Billing to ensure accurate billing.
- Arrange substitutes for therapists and input data in Frontline.
- Order materials throughout the year, at the request of the director. Record and reconcile purchases with the budget and the Finance Office.
- Coordinate NILD and IDEA therapists’ certification. Submit enrollment for NILD classes or webinars, create and file clock hour forms.
- Input testing data for SAS students to NILD.
- Oversee grades 7 – 12 SAS students all day on Monday, during independent study.
- Proctor testing as needed for students with extended time or need for a quiet space.
- Maintain an office and classroom environment that is welcoming to parents and structured for students.
- Assist therapists in responding to health emergencies, behavior disruptions and other needs when they occur.
- Other duties, as assigned.

- Ability to use Microsoft programs with specific abilities with Word and Excel, maintaining data, spreadsheets, and creating graphs.
Work Requirements:
- Work is generally performed inside, sitting/standing in an office environment.
- Occasional bending/lifting/standing (15 lbs. or less) may be needed.
- Ability to stand and walk for 15-20 minutes at a time, is required.
