Primary Function: The CAS Assistant will support the Master's in I/O Psychology program by fostering a cohesive student community, strengthening alumni connections, and facilitating access to professional resources through effective communication, research, content creation, and coordination of relevant activities in partnership with the program director and faculty.
Essential Functions:
Program Engagement
- Plan and facilitate virtual student engagement sessions.
- Gather feedback from current students about their program experience and desired support.
- Develop and coordinate peer connection opportunities.
- Create and maintain resources to support student integration and community.
Communications and Resource Development:
- Create and distribute program communications, which might include newsletters, announcements, or other update formats.
- Research and share professional development opportunities, including conferences, webinars, and industry events.
- Compile and organize resources, publications, and job opportunities relevant to I/O psychology students.
- Develop content highlighting program activities, student achievements, and professional resources.
Alumni Outreach and Industry Engagement:
- Develop and maintain connections with program alumni to create networking and mentorship opportunities for current students.
- Organize virtual alumni events, panels, and informational sessions to facilitate knowledge sharing.
Research Support:
- Provide general research assistance as needed to support program initiatives.
- Assist with other research-related tasks as assigned based on program priorities.
Marginal Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform other duties as requested.
Qualifications/Skills:
- Current enrollment in the Master's in I/O Psychology program.
- This is a Federal Work Study (FWS) student employee position that is open only to currently enrolled Bellevue University students who have Federal Work Study as part of their financial aid package. Students must have completed a FAFSA and accepted their FWS offer before they can apply for a FWS position.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to engage effectively with peers and alumni.
- Enthusiasm for building community.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite and virtual collaboration tools.
- Experience with content creation, virtual events, and/or newsletter development preferred.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Must possess strong attention to detail and good organizational skills to ensure accurate work.
Working Conditions:

- Regular access to a computer and reliable internet connection required
