Department: Special Education Extended School Year (ESY)
Positions: Total number of positions to be determined by student enrollment
Salary: $45/Hour

Appointment may be made prior to salary determination.
Timesheets will be sent prior to the program start date, via school email.
POSITION SUMMARY:
Instruction will emphasize literacy, math, social and communication skills to address regression and reduce the time to recoup skills. All recommended therapies will be provided during this time.
The number of Therapists and Specialists required for each program will be determined by enrollment along with the total hours per week.
Job Sharing will be considered for this position.

Preschool and Elementary
8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
Secondary
9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. In addition to the program hours, a specialists’ schedule will include 1 hour of prep per day to be scheduled before or after class hours, or in two thirty-minute periods – one before, and one after class hours.
2. Prior to the start of the program, all appointed specialists will be required to attend a mandatory orientation meeting, via zoom, and will be given prep time to plan individual instruction. The total time is not to exceed 4 hours.
3. Adheres to the adopted policies and procedures of the Bellingham School Committee.
