POSITION SUMMARY:

The Summer School Teacher, working directly under the Summer School Director and provides supervision to Summer School students.

SCHEDULE: July 7th – July 31st

(Monday-Thursday: 8:00am - 10:30am)

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• These positions are intended to provide instruction for students who have failed courses during the school year.
• Each teacher may be required to combine several levels within each course depending upon class size and the needs of students.
• Courses will be offered pending sufficient student enrollment. Tuition fees received may determine if courses are offered.
• A minimum of six students per class will be required to justify the offering of a course.
• Adheres to the adopted policies and procedures of the Bellingham School Committee, including the newly adopted Summer School Requirements.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES and/or DEGREE REQUIREMENTS:

• A certificate issued by the Massachusetts Department of Education is required for these positions.

SALARY: $33/hour

PHYSICAL WORKING CONDITIONS:

Must be able to move about the classroom and can bend, sit, or stand frequently.

DiPietro Elementary (Preschool – Grade 3), Stall Brook Elementary (Preschool – Grade 3) Bellingham Memorial School (grades 4-7) and Bellingham High School (grades 8-12), and Keough Memorial Academy (grades 7-12) is our therapeutic day school for students with special needs.
