What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cafe Associate position at Bellingrath Gardens and Home?
The Café Associate is accountable for ensuring excellent customer service. Café associate is responsible but not limited to food preparation, wash dishes, serve guests, bus tables, sweeping and mopping, able to work in a fast paced food environment, stand for long periods of time, follow instructions, and able to lift 60 pounds.
Primary responsibilities:
- Excellent customer service to each guest
- Sweeping and mopping the floors of the café
- Clearing and wiping down table in café
- Wash dishes
- Prepare food for day-to-day operation and special events
- Keep food fresh and replenish appropriately
- Help keep work/stock room area clean and organized
- Excellent teamwork skills
- Replenish drinks for gardeners and other staff
- Other task and duties assigned
Job Requirements:
- Must be able to lift 60lbs or more
- Able to stand for long periods of time
- Must be able to work some nights and weekends
- Customer service oriented
- Excellent communication and team work abilities
- Must be able to follow instructions
Job Types: Full-time, Seasonal
Pay: $13.50 per hour
