Job Overview
Bellisi Design, Inc. is a reputable Finish Carpentry and Design company specializing in high-quality craftsmanship and outstanding customer service. We are seeking a temporary Accounting Assistant to join our team to cover a maternity leave. The ideal candidate will support the accounting department in maintaining accurate financial records, preparing invoices, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. This role is crucial for the smooth operation of our financial processes and will provide opportunities for professional growth within the organization.
This role is part-time to full-time for the right candidate, 24-40 hours per week.
Responsibilities
- Use QuickBooks to prepare monthly invoices as directed
- Prepare and send out monthly billing statements
- Follow up on outstanding accounts to ensure timely payment
- Request and prepare preliminary notice information for new projects
- Send unconditional lien waivers upon receiving payments
- Prepare monthly accounting reports for each project
Experience
- Previous experience in an accounting clerk or similar role is preferred.
- QuickBooks experience required.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail to ensure accuracy in all tasks.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members.
- Ideal candidate will have experience with construction billing.
- PC literacy (MS Office, Excel and Google products).
