Job Title : Entry-Level Carpenter

Job Summary :

As an entry-level carpenter, you will assist in the construction, installation, and repair of structures and fixtures made from wood and other materials. You will work closely with senior carpenters and other construction team members to complete projects according to blueprints and specifications.

Key Responsibilities :

Assist in measuring, cutting, and shaping wood, plastic, and other materials.
Help with the construction of frameworks, walls, floors, and roofs.
Install doors, windows, cabinets, baseboards, and other wooden structures.
Read and interpret blueprints and sketches to determine material requirements and specifications.
Operate hand tools, power tools, and woodworking machinery safely and effectively.
Assist in the preparation and cleaning of job sites.
Follow safety protocols and maintain a safe working environment.
Help with the installation of drywall, insulation, and other building materials as needed.
Ensure all work complies with relevant building codes and regulations.

Qualifications :

High school diploma or equivalent (some positions may require vocational training or carpentry courses).

Basic understanding of carpentry tools and techniques.

Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.

Ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Good physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy materials and work in various weather conditions.

Reliable transportation to job sites.

Willingness to learn and grow in the field of carpentry.

Skills and Competencies :

Basic math skills for measuring and cutting materials.

Familiarity with safety standards and practices in the construction industry.

Good communication skills and a strong work ethic.

Ability to work with minimal supervision after receiving training.

Work Environment :
