Position Overview:
BellPro is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Machine Operator Apprentice to join our team of precision metal fabricators. In this role, you will rotate between a variety of machining positions based on business needs, working with equipment such as the router table, shear, emmegi, and press brake machines. You will be responsible for machine setup and operation, ensuring precise measurements while maintaining safety and quality standards. Over time, the apprentice will gain proficiency in material alignment, tooling selection, and making necessary adjustments throughout the production process.
Essential Functions:
- Read, analyze, and understand shop drawings, blueprints, and/or sketches
- Layout parts (without drawings) and make basis modifications to programs for complex custom pieces
- Engage in learning about the job specifications with fellow team members to guarantee quality, meet tolerances, and provide excellence in achieving customer’s needs.
- Operate the router table, emmegi, shear or press brake machines, making necessary adjustments to programing and setup, throughout each job, as needed.
- Excellent communication skills to immediate team members and management if and when questions arise.
- Inspect all finished products for accuracy and uniformity to ensure product quality using micrometer, tape, gauge, template, or rule and square, for conformance to specifications.
- Perform daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance tasks to ensure machine longevity, including lubrication, cleaning, and tool replacement
- Follow company safety procedures, assess your personal actions and ensure the safety of others in close proximity, and report any safety issues as needed.
Requirements:
- 1 years of experience with the layout and operation of one or more of the following: router table, emmegi, hydraulic shear, AccurPress brake, preferably in a custom metal fabrication shop.
- Possessing the willingness and ability to learn new machines and techniques. Always be in pursuit of sharpening the tool (your mind and skillset).
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret shop/fabrication drawings.
- Energetic, dependable, and capable of working at a fast pace.

Job Type: This is a full-time position, Monday-Thursday, 5:00 am - 3:30 pm, with potential overtime on Fridays.
