Position Overview
We’re looking for a Metal Fabrication Technician Trainee — someone who’s mechanically inclined, hands-on, and eager to grow in the world of custom fabrication. This is a hands-on, cross-trained position ideal for someone who thrives on variety and wants to develop in-demand skills for metal fabrication equipment including a router table, hydraulic shear, Emmegi CNC machining center, and AccurPress brake.

Whether you’ve already got fabrication experience or you’re early in your journey and ready to learn, we’ll train the right person who brings passion, precision, and a strong work ethic to the table.

Key Responsibilities

• Interpret and work from detailed shop drawings, blueprints, and custom sketches
• Learn to set up and operate machines including router table, shear, Emmegi, and press brake
• Perform layout and light programming adjustments for one-off or complex custom parts
• Collaborate with team members to ensure specifications and tolerances are met
• Inspect parts using micrometers, templates, gauges, and measurement tools
• Maintain clean and safe workspaces, performing routine maintenance on equipment
• Communicate clearly with teammates and supervisors to resolve questions or concerns
• Contribute to continuous improvement efforts across quality, workflow, and safety

What We’re Looking For

• 1 years experience with sheet metal fabrication machinery OR a strong mechanical aptitude with a desire to learn
• Familiarity with reading shop/fabrication drawings
• Eagerness to master new machines and fabrication techniques — we’ll train you
• Dependable, detail-oriented, and energetic
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physically active work for extended periods

Work Environment

• Industrial fabrication shop environment — PPE provided (steel toe boots required)
• Exposure to machinery, moderate noise levels, and moving equipment
• Hands-on, collaborative, and team-focused atmosphere

Schedule

• Full-time | Monday–Thursday, 5:00 AM–3:30 PM
• Overtime potential Fridays, 5:00 AM–11:00 AM
