Expectations of the Assistant Warehouse Manager: this position requires a person who is able to be on their feet for an 8-hour shift, sometimes longer, capable of lifting 50 to 60 pounds and is great at time management and multi-tasking. The Assistant Warehouse Manager will oversee all operations and warehouse functions including loading and unloading of trucks, pulling equipment from and returning equipment to storage bays, understanding and overseeing clean-bay, and keeping the warehouse clean, organized and efficient. With the position over time, he or she will need to understand the rental inventory, installation practices and loading techniques inside and out. In addition, he or she must be able to assess the best way to load the truck and what ancillary equipment will be needed to ensure a timely install by the field staff. The Position will report directly to the Warehouse Manager.
R4quirement & Responsibilities:
- Physically able to be on your feet for an 8 hour shift
- Physically capable of lifting 50 to 60 pounds
- Ability to take orders from supervisors and complete these orders accurately and in a timely manner
- Strong math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication and accuratle counting)
- Ability to efficiently use hand trucks and pallet jacks
- Proficient with forklifts (testing is required)
- Proficient with all equipment used in cleanbay
- Knowledge of all prociedures for cleaning, hanging, and folding tent tops and walls
- Cleaning, packaging and restocking all items that are processed in clean-bay
- Ability to unload trucks and restock racks and kits without supervision
- Ability to follow and complete loading checklists accurately
- Ability to load small to medium sized orders without supervision
- Ability to manage a small loading or clean-bay crew efficiently
- Ability to drive all trucks and trailers in and out of the docks
- Ability to clean, service and test all restroom trailers
- Ability to test inventory, diagnose and fix problems
- General maintenance of trucks (check fluid levels, tire pressure, etc.)
- clean driving record
- DOT medical card (eye test and physical will be provided)
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
