What are the responsibilities and job description for the Agency Associate position at Bellwether Enterprise?
Summary :
This position supports mortgage bankers responsible for originating Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac affordable and workforce multifamily housing transactions. This position will provide the foundation necessary to succeed in mortgage banking and will provide exposure to a variety of career paths and opportunities within the growing BWE platform.
Major Responsibilities :
- Conduct the preliminary screening and structuring of Agency lending opportunities.
- Review materials provided by clients and ensure needed information for preliminary loan analysis is received.
- Assess the strengths and weaknesses of a transaction.
- Review and analyze deal and borrower information to determine the best execution to suit a client's financing needs.
- Stay current with Fannie Mae DUS and Freddie Mac Optigo guidelines and programs.
- Prepare preliminary loan packages for presentation and submission to the BWE credit committee and to the Agencies, as required. Submit to the Senior Associate or Team Lead for review.
- Participate in the transition of loans from application into underwriting.
- Develop and maintain internal and external relationships to ensure a timely and efficient loan submission process.
- Special projects as needed.
