We are currently recruiting for a Complex Claims Specialist (General Liability & BI) in Atlanta, GA - Dunwoody / Sandy Springs area (hybrid schedule in-office 2 days). The primary role of a Complex Claims Specialist is to analyze liability claim submissions for potential coverage, set adequate case reserves, promptly and professionally respond to inquiries from our customers and their brokers, and to proactively drive early resolution of claims arising from our commercial lines. 105K – 120K Base Bonus Benefits Package
Responsibilities:
- Review and analyze claim documentation and legal filings
- Set strategy and maximize early settlement opportunities
- Draft coverage analyses
- Strategize and maximize early settlement opportunities
- Monitor litigation and managing local defense counsel
- Attend mediations and/or settlement conferences, either in person or by phone as appropriate
- Manage and track third-party vendor and service provider spend
- Continually assess exposures and adequacy of claim reserves, and escalate high exposure and/or volatile claims
- Liaise directly with insureds and brokers on daily basis
- Maintain timely and accurate file documentation/information in claims management system
- Assist in preparing and presenting quarterly reserve packs
Requirements:
- JD from an ABA-accredited law school and bar admission in good standing or 8 years relevant experience
- Experience in the area of commercial General Liability & BI, NYLL experience a plus
- Excellent analytical skills as well as strong verbal and written communication skills
