We are searching for the next member of our team! The Pharmacy Technician is responsible for dispensing medications. All duties are performed under the supervision of a Lead Technician and a licensed pharmacist. SHIFT: 8am-4:30pm, M-F
Essential Elements of the job:
- Demonstrates a working knowledge of all pharmacy rules and regulations
- Correctly pulls medication to be counted
- Counts and labels medication
- Answers patient phone calls and assists walk up customers, while providing excellent customer service
- Pulls expired medications
- Maintains proper storage and security conditions for drugs
- Restocks supplies and general cleaning of pharmacy
- Maintains compliance with Company and HIPPA patient confidentiality requirements
- Performs other duties as assigned
Requirements
Essential Skills and Experience:
- Current CPhT Certification
- Registration with FL as a licensed technician or provisional license is required upon hire
- Ability to maintain a clean workspace
- The ability to work independently and use own initiative
- Ability to listen and follow instructions
- An awareness of health and safety regulations
- Ability to concentrate for long periods of time
- Strong listening skills and attention to detail
- Good computer skills (Microsoft office products, email, internet)
- Ability to work as part of a team and adapt in a fast-paced environment
License/Certification:
- Pharmacy Technician Certification (Required)
