Client needs an experienced Workday HCM Manager. The Manager plays a critical role in overseeing the implementation, optimization, and ongoing management of Workday’s HCM solutions. This position requires a deep understanding of financial processes and supply chain operations, as well as expertise in the Workday system. The resource must have Workday Experience, no exceptions.
As a Workday HCM Manager you will help ensure that the organization effectively leverages Workday’s HCM capabilities, driving operational efficiency and supporting strategic objectives.
Job Responsibilities:
1. Process Improvement
- Analyze Current Processes: Assess existing financial and supply chain processes to identify areas for improvement and increased efficiency.
- Best Practices: Implement industry best practices in Human Capital Management within the Workday framework.
2. Stakeholder Collaboration
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with stakeholders across HR, operations, and IT to ensure alignment and integration of processes.
- Requirement Gathering: Collaborate with business units to gather and document requirements for system enhancements or new functionalities.
3. Training and Support
- User Training: Develop and deliver training programs for end-users to ensure effective use of Workday HCM functionalities.
- Ongoing Support: Provide ongoing support to users, addressing questions and issues related to the HCM modules.
4. Reporting and Analytics
- Data Management: Ensure accurate data management within Workday HCM, including data integrity and compliance.
- Reporting: Create and maintain HCM reports and dashboards, providing insights for decision-making.
5. Change Management
- Change Management Initiatives: Lead change management efforts related to the adoption of Workday HCM, ensuring smooth transitions and user buy-in.
- Communication: Develop and execute communication strategies to inform stakeholders about updates, changes, and enhancements.
6. Compliance and Risk Management
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that all HCM processes comply with relevant regulations and internal policies.
- Risk Assessment: Identify and mitigate risks associated with HCM processes within Workday.
7. Continuous Improvement
- System Optimization: Continuously assess and optimize Workday HCM functionalities, identifying opportunities for enhancements and upgrades.
- User Feedback: Collect and analyze user feedback to improve system usability and effectiveness.
8. Performance Monitoring
- KPI Development: Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to HCM operations to measure success and identify areas for improvement.
- Benchmarking: Compare performance against industry standards and best practices to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
The candidate must:
- Understand Workday HCM particularly when it comes to the implementation of these various areas.
- Certification in Workday HCM is essential, demonstrating expertise in the system’s financial management functionalities.
- Bachelor’s Degree: A degree in Business Administration, Finance, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.
- Certifications in specific Workday modules (e.g., Workday HCM) are crucial. These certifications demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of Workday functionalities.
- Specific certifications related to Workday can also be advantageous
- Several years of experience in HCM, or a related field, with a focus on HR processes and operations.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey complex concepts to various stakeholders.
- Ability to build relationships and collaborate with stakeholders across departments.
- Familiarity with change management principles to support user adoption and engagement during transitions.
- A proactive approach to staying updated on Workday enhancements, industry trends, and best practices in HCM.
