Are you ready to serve and protect your community? Belmond Police Department is seeking dedicated individuals to join our team as Police Officers. We are looking for candidates who are passionate about law enforcement, committed to public service, and eager to make a positive impact in our community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Enforce laws and regulations to maintain public safety.
- Respond to emergency calls and conduct investigations.
- Patrol assigned areas to deter and detect criminal activity.
- Build relationships with community members to foster trust and collaboration.
- Prepare reports and testify in court as needed.
Qualifications:
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- High school diploma or GED; some college coursework preferred.
- Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
- No felony convictions; must pass background checks.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work various shifts, including nights and weekends.
- Within 30 Miles of City limits by 6 months, (Can Be Extended)
- Must pass Physical Agility, MMPI, and Post tests (Certified applicants only required to take MMPI)
o Passing POST and physical agility tests, within the last 12 months accepted.
