What are the responsibilities and job description for the Waterfront Operations Manager - Boatyard position at Belmont Boatworks?
Belmont Boatworks is looking for a new Waterfront Operations Manager.
We are looking for somebody with extensive boat handling skills and hip towing experience, rigging, customer service, quality control, management and organization. We handle several hundred boats a year in Belfast Harbor and the surrounding towns. In the fall, the waterfront manager meets the boats when they are turned over for seasonal service. Sometimes the boats are left at the dock, moorings, or our service floats at turnover. Our waterfront crew will often be responsible for fueling, confirming pump-out and stowing boats for travel. Belmont Boatworks’ main storage and service facility is five miles inland, and after the boats are ready for the highway the waterfront crew hip-tows the boats to the ramp and drives them onto our trailers and assists the truckdrivers in preparation for the trip back to the yard.
