The role of our track coaches is to condition our team, model and teach required skills, conditioning, and calisthenics for students to experience growth and progress in the sport. Coaches will be punctual daily to supervise and run practice, help hold students accountable with grades, practice, attendance, behavior, and maintain an environment and culture for teamwork. They will work closely with the Athletic Director and OST Director to plan meets and cover logistics for the season. If teams qualify, track coaches will be expected to travel with the team for the Penn Relays (one day), which will be a day that begins as early as 7:30am, concluding their event around 12pm.
The individual in this role must have a working knowledge for athletics and be extremely organized. The assistant coach for track is expected to work as long as 12:30 PM to 6:30 PM on Game Days and 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM on practice days. Additional OST roles may be available between seasons. This is a seasonal role from mid February through the first week of June in the 23-24 School Year and will be paid out biweekly.

Must familiarize themselves with school’s athletic policy for afterschool

All employees must be able to provide Pennsylvania State Police Criminal Background Check Clearance (Act 34), Pennsylvania Child Abuse History Clearance (Act 151), Federal Bureau of Investigation Record Check Clearance (Act 114), and Sexual Misconduct/Abuse Disclosure Clearance (Act 168) before starting work on campus

Qualifications
Minimum Training and Experience

A minimum of two years coaching experience and/or multiple years competing in track

Experience working with middle school students preferred
