Position Summary:
The OST (Out of School Time) Coordinator is responsible for site based operations and supporting programming that promotes the development of academic and life skills for students in an after school environment. This role will also be charged with managing part-time staff as well as resources that are allocated towards programs. The individual in this role must have a passion for after school programming and youth development. This is a 12 month position (during the school year: 10am - 6pm; during the summer: 8:30am-5:00pm) that is supervised by the OST Director at each school.
Core Responsibilities:
Program Management:
- Work with the OST Director to develop, plan, and implement all aspects of after school programming at a specific school location that attracts and retains students;
- Track attendance data and follow-up with parents of student who are not attending on a weekly basis;
- Enroll new students in the program;
- Review staff and student files to ensure that all paperwork is up to date and in compliance
- Ensure a safe, clean, orderly and well maintained space for all after school activities;
- Collect copays and fees from parents as needed;
- Inventory supplies and order supplies as needed;
Part-Time Staff Supervision and Development:
- Work with the OST Director to observe and coach staff to ensure quality instructional methods and support for program goals;
- Review staff lesson plans and offer feedback;
- Assist with hiring and training of part-time staff
Stakeholder Engagement:
- Communicate information clearly to parents, staff, superiors, partners, funders and other related parties regarding schedule, logistics and goals of programs;
- Participate in parent conferences as needed and in accordance with program regulations;
- Develop strong relationships with students to ensure psychological safety in the OST program
Additional responsibilities:
- Collaborate with Head of School, Managing Director of OST and the school based OST Director on school day and OST/Daycare initiatives;
- Assist in other programmatic function as required, such as special events and field trips, to support the program and school;
- Work in conjunction with all other OST staff to plan culminating events for programs;
- Complete additional tasks assigned by Supervisor;

Qualifications
Qualifications:
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree (degree in Education preferred)
- 3 years of direct supervision of students;
- 1 year in a supervisory role in an after school/daycare environment preferred;
- Basic knowledge of State licensing regulations for a Daycare Center preferred;
- All employees must be able to provide Pennsylvania State Police Criminal Background Check Clearance (Act 34), Pennsylvania Child Abuse History Clearance (Act 151), Federal Bureau of Investigation Record Check Clearance (Act 114), and Sexual Misconduct/Abuse Disclosure Clearance (Act 168) before starting work on campus
