Belmont Charter High School was founded in 2017 and we offer a positive, inclusive and supportive environment. Here, we understand success means something different to every student and we give them the opportunity to design their own path. We are currently seeking a teacher to plan, organize and implement an appropriate instructional program in a secondary learning environment that guides and encourages students to develop and fulfill their academic potential, in accordance with the mission and standards of Belmont Charter Network. STRIPES is an integrated, credit-bearing program that works closely with the Parkside neighborhood to design and implement real-world experiences and projects with high-school students. We are seeking an innovative classroom teacher to join our team at Belmont Charter High School. The integrated model is rooted in a student-driven, thematic approach to learning. It blends subject matter, as well as many life skills, into the curriculum, while balancing an individualized approach to learning with teamwork. STRIPES exposes students to education beyond the classroom in the greater Philadelphia community. Central to the teaching and learning is a commitment to high-quality work with individual learning goals for each student. We are seeking an individual who, above all, has an unconditional positive regard for students. Additionally, a STRIPES partner teacher is dedicated, resourceful, adaptive, open to working in a collaborative environment, and interested in the experiential learning process.
