Position Summary:
Belmont College is seeking a highly skilled and motivated part-time EMS Program Manager to oversee the management, development, and delivery of the Emergency Medical Services (EMS) program. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of EMS operations, and experience in educational instruction. The EMS Program Manager will support a team of EMS instructors, develop curriculum, ensure compliance with accreditation standards, and enhance student success within the program. This position is integral to providing quality education that prepares students for careers as emergency medical technicians (EMTs) and paramedics.
Specific Responsibilities:
Program Management & Development
Oversee the EMS program, including instruction, and evaluation. Ensure the program aligns with industry standards and prepares students for certification and licensure exams (e.g., NREMT). Review and update course content as needed to reflect the latest practices in EMS care.
Instructor Supervision & Development
Recruit, train, and provide ongoing professional development for EMS faculty. Foster a collaborative environment by mentoring faculty and offering guidance on best practices for instructional delivery and student engagement.
Student Success & Support
Provide academic advising and guidance to EMS students, assisting them with program progression, career planning, and professional development. Monitor student performance, intervene when necessary, and implement strategies to ensure high retention, completion, and pass rates for certification exams.
Clinical Partnerships & Community Engagement
Build and maintain relationships with local hospitals, EMS agencies, fire departments, and other healthcare providers to secure clinical placement opportunities for students. Develop partnerships to promote student success, internships, and job placement opportunities.
Professional Development & Research
Stay current with trends, best practices, and changes in the EMS field. Participate in professional organizations, attend relevant conferences, and pursue opportunities to enhance the program and personal professional growth.

Position Requirements:
Experience
Minimum of 5 years of experience in the EMS field, including at least 5 years in an instructional role.
Experience in EMS education, including curriculum development and instructional delivery.
Familiarity with accreditation processes and regulatory standards for EMS programs.
Certifications & Licenses
Current EMT-Paramedic certification (Nationally Registered or State Licensure).
Current EMS Instructor certification (State or National).
BLS/ACLS/PALS instructor certifications preferred.
Ability to obtain required background checks and certifications for employment.
Skills & Abilities
Strong leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with diverse groups, including faculty, students, and external stakeholders.
Proficient with learning management systems (LMS) and educational technology.
Knowledge of clinical, operational, and educational best practices in EMS.
Experience with budget management and resource allocation.
