Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Associate Dentist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will have experience in pediatrics and possess strong patient assessment skills. As an Associate Dentist, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive dental care to patients, maintaining accurate medical records, and adhering to aseptic techniques. Proficiency in CAD, Dentrix, Eaglesoft, and knowledge of dental office procedures and HIPAA regulations are highly desirable.
Duties:
- Perform dental examinations, diagnoses, and treatment planning
- Administer local anesthesia and perform dental procedures such as fillings, extractions, and root canals
- Provide preventive dental care including cleanings, fluoride treatments, and sealants
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and preventive care measures
- Collaborate with the dental team to ensure efficient patient flow and high-quality care
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records using electronic dental software
- Follow aseptic techniques to prevent the spread of infection
- Collaborate with dental laboratory technicians for the fabrication of prostheses
- Stay updated on the latest advancements in dentistry through continuing education
Qualifications:
- Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from an accredited dental school
- Valid state dental license
- Experience in pediatric dentistry is preferred
- Strong knowledge of dental procedures, techniques, and materials
- Proficiency in CAD/CAM technology for restorative dentistry is a plus
- Familiarity with electronic dental software such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well within a team environment
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and commitment to patient confidentiality
- Familiarity with medical terminology
