Front Desk Receptionist/Dental Assistant

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and professional Front Desk Receptionist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our patients and visitors, providing exceptional customer service while managing administrative tasks in a fast-paced environment. This role is crucial in ensuring a welcoming atmosphere and efficient operations within our practice.

Duties

• Greet patients and visitors warmly, providing them with necessary information and assistance.
• Schedule appointments and manage the calendar for dental services, including general dentistry, prosthodontics, and pediatrics.
• Maintain accurate medical records and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Handle patient inquiries regarding services, insurance, and billing processes.
• Assist with medical coding and documentation as needed.
• Ensure infection control protocols are followed in accordance with industry standards.
• Process patient payments and maintain financial records accurately.
• Collaborate with dental assistants and other staff to ensure smooth patient flow and high-quality care.
• Manage incoming calls, emails, and correspondence efficiently.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in medical or dental assisting is a plus.
• Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and experience with medical records management is essential.
• Familiarity with dental terminology, procedures, and coding is preferred; experience in general dentistry or prosthodontics is a plus.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail; ability to multitask effectively in a busy environment.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written; ability to interact professionally with patients of all ages.
• Proficient in using office equipment such as computers, printers, and telephones; experience with medical imaging software is an advantage.
• A positive attitude and a commitment to providing outstanding patient care are essential for this role.
