First Tee – Greater Richmond (FTGR) is a youth development organization that uses the game of golf and its inherent values to shape the lives of young people from all walks of life. We are strengthening the character of the community by providing programs that build resilience in our youth, teach critical life skills, and provide caring adult supervision in a safe environment.
FTGR is seeking a collaborative, detail-oriented, and dedicated individual to assume the role of Horticulturist. This position reports to the Assistant Superintendent and Superintendent.
This position is flexible in both hours and role. We are looking for a driven individual to maintain our landscaped areas around the golf course and pro shop.
Above all, this person will convey First Tee’s brand image to all parties in the community – First Tee participants, parents, patrons, teachers, volunteers, donors, and staff.

The role of the horticulturist requires organization, attention to detail, and the ability to work as part of a team. Responsibilities include:
- Weed/leaf management
- Ability to operate small engine equipment
- Basic understanding of mulch, and flower bed care
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Seasonal
Pay: $15.00 - $16.00 per hour
