Description
To perform food preparation and production tasks accurately and consistently by following safe food handling policies and procedures, recipes, and plating instructions.
MAJOR POSITION FUNCTIONS
- Prepare food according to diet extension recipes and food production sheets.
- Perform food production work efficiently, while monitoring a neat and sanitary work area.
- Ensure portion control of all items is per resident’s orders and preferences.
- Ensure temperature of all food items is per standards and is recorded for compliance.
- Promptly report malfunctioning equipment or food shortages to supervisor.
- Demonstrate a conscientious attitude in daily operations through portion control and reducing waste.
- Ensures a clean, orderly, and efficient kitchen when working.
- Assist in training and orientating of new personal.
- Completes all other tasks and related duties as assigned.
- Attend in-service training sessions and Nursing Assistant staff meetings.

- Works in a resident care environment where there is frequent exposure to noise and a variety of environmental conditions.
