About the Food Runner
Food Runners at Beach House are essential in delivering a seamless dining experience. They ensure dishes are delivered promptly and accurately while maintaining a high standard of service. Acting as a bridge between the kitchen and the dining room, Food Runners help keep service smooth, efficient, and enjoyable for our guests.
What You’ll Do
- Deliver food quickly and accurately to the correct tables.
- Communicate effectively between the kitchen and servers to maintain a smooth service flow.
- Work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Assist with guest needs, including refilling drinks, answering menu questions, and addressing requests.
- Support servers, bussers, and kitchen staff to create an exceptional dining experience.

Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to constantly stand and exert well-paced mobility for a period up to 8 hours in length.
- Must be able to bend, kneel, stoop, reach, and squat on a frequent basis to receive and store stock, supplies and equipment as well as to work the line during service periods.
- Must be able to communicate effectively and listen attentively to supervisors, employees, vendors and guests.
Skills/Qualifications:
- Previous work experience as a Host/ Hostess or in customer service (barista/ retail preferred).
- Strong attention to detail.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Prior experience in a related field.
- Must possess a high school diploma or its equivalent.
- Maintains composure under periods of high stress and high volume.
- Proven ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in written form.
- Excellent organization, multitasking, and prioritization skills are critical for success.
Expected Hours of Work
Open availability with 2 out of the 3 weekend days available.
