As our Security and Operations Coordinator , you will provide support to the Operations Team with the security, cleaning and maintenance of the Village. By taking responsibility for aspects of the day-to-day management of the Village, you will maintain the high standards and priorities set by the Security Manager and Operations Director.

What you will be doing

  • Assisting the Operations team with daily administrative tasks, including, but not limited to coordinating meetings, creating detailed reports and distributing communications for the Operations team.
  • Creating, distributing, and tracking security badges for employees, contractors, visitors, and vendors; ensuring all badge holders receive safety training prior to accessing work sites.
  • Verifying authorization and security clearances for all badge holders and maintaining the badge database to ensure compliance.
  • Processing purchase orders to contractors, suppliers and consumable control.
  • Providing day-to-day support with the cleaning, security, and car parking teams.
  • Managing the issuance and tracking of parking passes.
  • Coordinating with our parking vendor and UBS Arena for monitoring and resolving parking allocation issues.
  • Acting as the main contact for brand contractors, vendors, and delivery personnel regarding site access, and scheduling and authorizing site access in accordance with security protocols.
  • Maintaining and auditing records of site access permissions, parking pass logs, badge issuance, and security incidents, for compliance.
  • Collaborating with VR staff, Operations, Parking, and Transportation teams to fulfill security / operational requests.
  • Participating in emergency response planning and drills.
  • Ensuring emergency equipment and procedures remain up to date.
  • Assisting in organizing security training sessions for employees and contractors.
  • Promoting security awareness initiatives to enhance the organization's safety culture and communicate updates on security procedures to all relevant parties.
  • Guiding new staff and visitors on security protocols and procedures.
  • Assisting in planning, supporting, and monitoring operational projects and security initiatives.
  • Supporting enforcement of company security policies, procedures, and legal regulations.
  • Maintaining and improving workflows to optimize efficiency.
  • Assisting the team with other administrative tasks as assigned.

  • Experience in a security operations center in commercial retail, entertainment or a tourism destination.
  • The ability to demonstrate initiative, pre-empt requests, be proactive and forward thinking.
  • Previous experience working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment; the ability to prioritize and manage several tasks simultaneously.
  • Well-developed written and verbal interpersonal communication skills
  • Strong relationship management skills with internal and external parties.
  • Demonstrated experience responding to queries and assignments promptly and professionally; the ideal candidate will be a customer service-oriented and self-motivated individual.
  • Ability to both work as part of a team and work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Familiarity with CCTV and Access Control systems.
  • Flexibility to work on weekends and holidays, as the business requires.
  • Fluency in English; any other languages would be advantageous.
