Responsibilities:
The RN Supervisor plans, coordinates, manages and directs the Nursing Department at Belmont Pines Hospital during the shift worked. The RN Supervisor provides leadership that results in the efficient, productive, and cost effective patient care during worked shift. The Director ensures that the development, implementation and evaluation of nursing policies and procedures are in compliance with all JCAHO, federal, state and local regulations. The RN Supervisor serves as the facility’s employee health nurse and assists the DON in monitoring infection control issues. The RN Supervisor maintains a productive, professional relationship with the medical staff, management team and all other departments. The RN Supervisor performs other duties as assigned. The RN Supervisor reports to the ADON and DON.
Qualifications:
Education: A Degree in Nursing from an accredited school is required. A Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing is preferred.
Licensure: Registered Nurse with current Ohio license.
Experience: One year of nursing experience in a psychiatric inpatient setting. Previous experience in nursing supervision is preferred. The ability to organize tasks related to the accomplishment of hospital goals and objectives. Ability to work in a professional manner with staff, physicians, mental health professional, referral sources, and support staff.
