Hiring Bistro Cook

Tues-Saturday or Sunday-Thursday

Compensation : $23.50 / Hr

We are looking for an energetic, customer service driven Bistro Cook that can operate our casual but classy Café style bistro. If you have some experience with cooking and customer service then this position is for you. Your dish ideas are welcome, so if you are a sandwich artist, or fruit carving connoisseur then Belmont Village San Ramon’s Bistro is your place to be. Your Typical Daily Responsibilities

Prepares high quality meals from scratch in our Bistro Café in a timely and courteous manner
Prepares the Bistro Café for daily service maintaining cleanliness of the area as well as keeping all equipment, flatware, condiments and beverages in a constant state of readiness
Follows checklists and company procedures to ensure the Bistro is stocked and that cleanliness and sanitation is well maintained at all times
Demonstrates a professional image at all times by adhering to company uniform code and by providing excellent customer service to all guests
Maintains Bistro food and beverages at a high level of quality and freshness throughout the day
Provides service in other areas of the kitchen as assigned by the Chef
Creates decorative and enticing Bistro food displays using daily selections

Skills Required for Success

Basic culinary skills and techniques

Being flexible and adaptable to different schedules, tasks and evolving needs within the department

Ability to actively listen, observe, identify and anticipate guests needs with a strong focus on customer service

Ability to follow detailed instruction while working as part of a team to achieve a collective goal

OUR MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Must be at least 18 years of age

High School Diploma or Equivalent

Proficient in the English language including the ability to understand, read and communicate effectively both in writing and verbally in a professional environment

Minimum of 6 months line cook experience in banquet, catering, cafe, upscale casual dining or an equivalent environment

Ability to work flexible shifts and schedules including mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays
