About Us
Belo USA Travel, Inc. offers trips to high school exchange students that are in the US for the school year. We are a tour operator that is specialized in student travel, looking for an individual passionate about working with international students.
Responsibilities:
As a Student Travel Coordinator, you will be working in our Chicago office on:
- Entering and maintaining student reservations in our own software, organizing a high volume of information;
- Advising students regarding our trip programs;
- Assisting with student and client travel coordination;
- Answering phones, responding to client emails, and WhatsApp messages;
- Communicating directly with clients;
- Providing clients with all necessary information and materials to market our trips to students;
- Preparing and sending trip materials to on-site trip staff;
- Serving as the primary contact for on-site trip staff, answering all questions;
- Keeping our website and social media profiles current;
- Check office mailbox for letters and packages and organize it in the office accordingly;
- Send out letters, packages and trip boxes when necessary;
- Maintain office items and trip supplies organized – as well as keeping track of refilling those items when needed.
Experience & Qualifications/Skills:
- Bachelor’s Degree;
- Legally authorized to work in the USA;
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams), Canva and Google Suite;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
- Ability to prioritize and multi-task, well-organized, with a strong attention to detail;
- Demonstrated ability as a self-starter and to work collaboratively in a creative and dynamic work environment;
- Works well in a team environment;
- Intercultural competency;
- English fluency;
- Passion for international education and student travel;
- Able to work extra hours on evenings and weekends during trip season and critical events;
- Possibility to travel to visit the trips during our trip season.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree;
Preferred:
- Study-abroad experience or travel related work experience;
- Familiarity with a second language.
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday (9am – 6pm, with 1hr lunch break)
