Job Description
The Gaming Technician I in this position is responsible for providing superior service to both the internal and external customer. The incumbent is also responsible for performing a wide variety of diagnoses and repairs of VLT machines, with infrequent assistance; possesses extensive knowledge of both mechanical and electronic aspects of VLT machine repair; provides training or assistance to lesser experienced technicians

- Provides superior customer service, positively effects interactions with external and internal customers and employees, and has the resiliency to deal with difficult customers in all types of business conditions and the ability to work harmoniously with coworkers.
- Diagnoses and repairs the total range of all mechanical and electronic VLT machine malfunctions.
- May utilize shop machines to fabricate standard or routine parts.
- Replaces parts and circuit boards which have caused malfunctions; may repair some circuit boards, with assistance.
- May occasionally act as a specialist in either mechanical or electronic areas.
- Maintains advanced skill levels and immediately develops expertise required by new technologies for slot machines.
- Performs general and preventive maintenance, VLT machine inspection, machine moving and installation, all in accordance with established procedures
- Performs related duties and responsibilities as required.
- This position spends time on the gaming floor and is subject to varying levels of crowds, noise and second-hand smoke in an open air environment, the severity of which depends upon customer volume.
- This position is at times subjected to hazards such as electrical shocks..
- Must be flexible to work varying shifts and time schedules as needed.
