Job Description
Under general supervision, observe gaming and operational areas using video surveillance systems to ensure laws, policies and procedures are being followed and maintained. Monitors VLT activity; reviews VLT data contained in the Surveillance areas of ACSC; maintains an understanding of sensitive key systems.

Deliver internal and external guest service by ensuring every interaction includes our Six Core Service Standards (Look Sharp, smile & greet the guest. Be friendly, polite & use courteous language. Provide especially timely & knowledgeable service; always find solutions to guests’ problems).
Observes and reports any and all gaming violations and / or thefts of Belterra Park property.
Assist Supervisor in training, developing, monitoring and leading personnel in such a manner to maintain a positive employee relations culture.
Motivate and supervise staff in Supervisor’s absence in order to ensure employees receive adequate guidance and resources to accomplish established departmental and guest service objectives.
Operates monitor room equipment, including basic computer functions; reviews VLT and data contained in the Surveillance areas of ACSC to protect company assets and funds
Maintains video surveillance of the entire casino, i.e., gaming, cage, food and beverage outlets, parking lot, parking garage, racing, outbuildings and shops.
Video records gaming and security-related incidents within the realm of monitor room video recording and surveillance capabilities.
Participate in any court actions relating to violations at Belterra Park in order to represent facts as obtained by the department.
Learns and uses GCA Transaction Data, Halo, DSX, ID Center, Micros, DSL, and Perspective.
Learns all procedures and possible cheating / theft indicators regarding finance, gaming, food and beverage operations, and Mutuels.
Regular attendance in conformance with the standards which may be established by Belterra Park from time to time is essential to the successful performance of this position. Team members with irregular attendance will be subject to disciplinary action up to and including termination.
Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality / entertainment industry, team members may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the property.
Upon employment, all team members are required to fully comply with Belterra Park policies and procedures for the safe and efficient operation of company facilities. Team members who violate company policies and procedures are subject to disciplinary action up to and including termination.
Qualifications
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid gaming license
- Must have 20 / 20 corrected vision
- Ability to prioritize and multi-task to effectively supervise operators in the absence of the Supervisor.
- Ability to observe and direct actions of Agents in the absence of the Supervisor.
These skills are typically acquired through a high school education or equivalent and two years of surveillance experience or casino experience in security, table games, or an equivalent combination of training, education and experience which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position.
