ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Gathers information from customers by phone or in person and provides information on relocation services; gets and registers orders for installation, third party services, or change in service.
- Maintain up to date knowledge of tariffs and contract carriage agreements.
- Collects and examines all pertinent information from customer and completes contract forms, determine charges for service requested, and handles special requirements; maintain current account profile list with appropriate discounts and special instructions that apply to the account; enters and adjust information in ACT software.
- Follows with customers to inform on moving status and to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Track shipments for driver assignment, destinations services and claim follow-up; communicate any shipment changes to dispatch and driver.
- Assist with complaints concerning billing or service rendered, referring complaints of service failures to designated departments for investigation.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must be proficient in the use of standard software packages, including Microsoft Excel, Word and Access.
