Education/Certification: High School Diploma or GED Clear and valid Texas driver’s license Sate of Texas Journeyman Electrician License Special Knowledge/Skills: Ability to read, write and follow verbal and written instructions Knowledge of established safety procedures and techniques Knowledge of electrical circuits, wiring and operating principals of motors and controls Knowledge of applicable federal, state and local laws, guidelines, procedures and codes Skill in working in collaborative team based environments Skill in reading and interpreting blueprints, wiring diagrams, schematics and written reference material Skill in calculating mathematical calculations Skill in a variety of equipment including but not limited to, power saws, drills, etc. Basic computer skills Experience: Three years of related experience as journeyman electrician preferably in K-12 schools
