Beltrami County is creating an eligibility list for the position of Corrections Officer II and Corrections Officer I (Training Program). There are currently multiple openings with both full-time and part-time schedules available which are considered permanent, benefited positions. The successful full-time applicants will work seven (7) twelve (12) hour shifts in a two week period. The successful part-time applicants will work an average of 40 hours per week.
Corrections Officer I (Training Program) candidates will participate in an extensive training program designed to qualify them for the position of Corrections Officer II upon the successful completion of the training and one year of employment.
Corrections Officer II: Salary Range $28.45 - $36.04 hourly
Corrections Officer I (Training Program): Salary Range $26.84 - $34.00 hourly
Job offer contingent upon successfully passing a background check, drug screening, psychological exam and physical.
Corrections Officer I (Training Program) candidates will participate in an extensive training program designed to qualify them for the position of Corrections Officer II upon the successful completion of the training and one year of employment.
Performs intermediate protective service and human support work overseeing care and security of inmates at the Beltrami County Jail, and related work as apparent or assigned. Work is performed under the moderate supervision of the Corrections Sergeant.
- Corrections Officer II hiring range $28.45 to $31.09 per hour with a full range of $28.45 to $36.04 per hour.
- Corrections Officer I hiring range is $26.84 to $29.32 per hour with a full range of $26.84 to $34.00 per hour.
Education and Experience
Corrections Officer II: Salary Range $28.45 - $36.04 hourly
- Two years of post-secondary education in any discipline and
- Valid Driver's License
Corrections Officer I (Training Program): Salary Range $26.84 - $34.00 hourly
- High School Diploma or GED and
- Two years of full-time work experience in any occupation and
- Valid Driver's License

Physical Requirements

Special Requirements
First Aid / CPR / AED / Oxygen Delivery certification required within six months of hire.
On-going training in first aid, Taser / OC / Defensive Tactics emergency procedures, health policy, and OSHA / Blood Borne Pathogens required.
Valid Driver's License.
