Job Summary
We are seeking (2) dedicated and compassionate Medication Technicians to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting residents with their ADL's and medication needs while ensuring their safety and well-being. You will work closely with our entire team to provide high-quality care in a supportive environment. This position is ideal for individuals who are passionate about caregiving and have experience in assisted living/healthcare settings.
Responsibilities
- Administer medications to residents as prescribed, ensuring accuracy and compliance with medical documentation.
- Monitor and document resident responses to medications and report any adverse reactions.
- Monitor and record vital signs, reporting any significant changes to the Nurse.
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation, ensure confidentiality of resident information in accordance with facility policies and regulations by the state.
- Assist residents with daily living activities, providing support in a respectful and dignified manner.
- Provide care for residents with specific needs, including dementia care and support for individuals with development disabilities.
- Collaborate effectively with the team to ensure comprehensive care for all residents.
- Uphold safety standards and protocols within the facility, promoting a safe environment for both residents and staff.
Experience
- Previous experience in a assisted living environment is preferred, particularly in roles involving patient care or caregiving.
- Medication Technician training course that will be provided by the Nurse and our in-house pharmacy once hired.
- Familiarity with working with individuals with disabilities or dementia is highly desirable.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team are essential.
- Knowledge of medical records management and medication administration protocols is beneficial.
