We are a large residential apartment complex in Newburgh, NY and are currently looking for Maintenance person to add to our team.
We are looking for a skilled handyman who is capable to taking a vacated unit and making it ready for the next resident to move in. Duties include: general repairs, light electric, light plumbing, light fixture replacement, patching holes, repairing/replacing doors, caulking and light tile work, closet tracks, cabinet repair, painting, and flooring repairs/installation. We use VCT, LVP, and ceramic tile flooring at the property.
Additional responsibilities can include: work orders, general building maintenance, carpet removal, unit cleanouts, working in crawlspaces or on a ladder, snow removal, and assisting with other jobs around the property as needed. You must be able to lift at least 50lbs.
You must be a self-motivated individual who works efficiently independently. Productivity is closely monitored as we work with strict deadlines. We need someone who is a self-starter and can stay on task without continual oversight.
Must have a valid driver's license. This is non-negotiable.
Location: 207 Lake Drive, Newburgh, NY. As you will be required to be on call periodically for snow and emergencies, we are looking for a candidate who lives in close proximity to the property and would be able to get here within 30 minutes.
Full time position: Monday through Friday 8:00am-4:30pm
Bilingual preferred, but not required.
