- Program Implementation and Oversight: Develop, implement, and monitor the MTSS framework across all tiers (universal, targeted, and intensive interventions). Support schools with analyzing and using data to design instructional and intervention strategies.
- Data Management and Analysis: Collect, analyze, and interpret data related to student performance, attendance, behavior, and intervention effectiveness. Assist with maintaining records of interventions and their outcomes for individual students. Collaborate with data teams to adjust interventions and inform instructional practices.
- Collaboration and Support: Provide leadership and training to teachers, counselors, and support staff on MTSS implementation. Facilitate collaboration between general education, special education, and intervention staff to ensure consistency and alignment. Serve as a resource to families, providing guidance and information about MTSS practices and student progress.
- Professional Development: Plan and deliver professional development sessions focused on MTSS practices and data-driven decision-making. Stay current on MTSS research and best practices, disseminating knowledge to staff as needed.
- Curriculum Design and Alignment: Collaborate with curriculum developers and subject-area specialists to embed SEL standards into core academic content (e.g., math, science, language arts, social studies). Support the development of lesson plans, activities, and instructional resources that incorporate SEL competencies such as self-awareness, relationship skills, and responsible decision-making. Ensure curriculum alignment with state and national SEL standards and educational benchmarks.
- Professional Development and Training: Provide training and coaching to educators on integrating SEL into classroom instruction. Offer strategies to foster a supportive classroom climate and address diverse student needs.
- Implementation Support: Support teachers in embedding SEL principles into daily teaching practices. Co-teach or model SEL-integrated lessons to demonstrate practical application.
- Monitoring and Evaluation: Develop and use tools to assess the impact of SEL integration on student outcomes, including academic performance, behavior, and emotional well-being. Regularly report on SEL integration progress to administrators and stakeholders.

Basic Function: The MTSS & SEL Integration Administrator is responsible for implementing and overseeing the MTSS framework, which integrates all students' academic, behavioral, and social-emotional support. The administrator works collaboratively with teachers, school staff, and administrators to promote a culture of continuous improvement and equitable education for all students. The MTSS & SEL Integration Administrator is responsible for integrating SEL standards into the core curriculum with curriculum teams that include teaching and administrative staff.
